Kenyan TV anchor picked up in Uganda

Joy Doreen Biira, a KTN journalist and TV anchor who has been giving eye witness account on the fighting in Kasese which has left 55 people dead, including 14 police officers has been arrested in Uganda.

The Kenyan journalist was arrested with her fiancee and three other friends on Sunday, November 27 with reports revealing that they were all locked up in one of the police stations in the country East African country.

“Our friend Joy Doreen Biira, a journalist with KTN has been arrested in Kasese according to a friend. Her whereabouts is still unknown. She has been giving eye witness accounts on the fighting in Kasese. Just yesterday was with her and I left today,” Barbara Among, a friend posted on Facebook.
