A 75-year-old man, Ali Isah, has blamed spiritual forces after he was arrested for allegedly defiling the three-year-old daughter of his neighbour by the Nasarawa State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).

Isah, who was paraded by the state Commander of the NSCDC, Mohammed Mahmoud-Fari, in Lafia on Thursday, while blaming spiritual forces, said he has two wives and 11 children.

According to Fari, Isah was arrested on Monday in Kandere village in the Kokona Local Government Area of the state following a report lodged by the villagers, adding, that the victim was currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital in the Karu Local Government Area.

The NSCDC boss also called on parents and guardians to be careful and wary of those who lurk around their children and wards.
