AAUDIO SALLAH MESSAGE: It wasn’t Buhari that spoke –Fani-Kayode

The former Aviation Minister and notable critic of the current administration, Femi Fani-Kayode, has accused the Presidency of deceiving Nigerians with a purported audio Sallah message from President Muhammadu Buhari.

The BBC had carried reports on Sunday on its Hausa service of an audio sallah message purported to be the voice of President Buhari, which was also said to have been broadcast by some radio stations in the country.

The purported message was in Hausa.

However, in a tweet on his twitter handle on Sunday, Fani-Kayode not only denied that the voice was that of Buhari but also described whoever was behind the message as insulting Nigerians by speaking in Hausa language.

“It was not Muhammadu Buhari that spoke in today’s Sallah day audio recording. And for whoever it was to address the nation in Hausa is insulting,” he said.

Like Fani-Kayode, the social media has been awash with reactions over the purported message by President Buhari, with many lambasting the President and his aides for not telling Nigerians the whole truth about his exact whereabouts, the nature of his illness and present state of health.
The president left Nigeria on May 7, and has not been seen, or heard from publicly since then.

President Buhari has always been for and about the Hausas alone, but he won’t descend so low to address the entire country in Hausa! The presidency should keep lying to itself

President Buhari has definitely lost his memory! The only memory left in his brain must definitely be Hausa language, I’m sure he has even forgotten he’s the president of a country called Nigeria. And the call… they must have persuaded him to talk also
