The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council (OYC) Worldwide, a breakaway faction of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo has expressed sympathy over the death of the President’s Chief of Staff (CoS), Abba Kyari.

The group which is loyal to a suspended secretary general of the Igbo social cultural group, Uche Okwukwu, described Kyari’s death to COVID-19 as a colossal loss.

The group, meanwhile has appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari to look inward and rethink on the need to make amendments and clear doubts about his stance as the father of Nigeria, by appointing a new chief of staff from the South, especially from the igbo speaking areas of Niger Delta or South East.

In a statement at the weekend by its President General, Okechukwu Isiguzoro and General Secretary, Okwu Nnabuike, OYC said a Chief of Staff from the East would undoubtedly add flavour and rejig the Presidency activities.

The Igbo group said the manner some people of the region stood with Buhari at perilous times “should make him to consider Igbos as worthy replacement of Late Abba Kyari”.
