Two siblings, 10-year-old Chinezerem Nkwoemezie and 8-year-old Nzube Nkwoemezie, have been rescued from their abductors by police detectives attached to the Isiowulu Division in Anambra state.

The pupils who were abducted from their school in Obosi at Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, were on Sunday, found in a hotel in Onitsha.

According to a source, the pupils were whisked away by some men from their school during break session a week before they were found.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Haruna Mohammed, who confirmed the incident to news men on Sunday said the siblings were rescued from their abductors unhurt.

The police spokesperson who gave the names of the suspected abductors as Maduako Chukwuka and Michael Chukwuebuka said they were arrested in Nkpor in the Idemili North Local Government Area of the state where they hid the pupils in an hotel.

He said the case was being investigated after which the suspects would be charged to court.
