Abducted news editor freed in Benue after 4 days in kidnapper's den.

An abducted journalist, Mrs. Iyuadoo Tor-Agbidye has regained her freedom in Makurdi, Benue state after four days in the kidnapper’s den.

Mrs. Tor-Agbidye, a news editor of Radio Benue in Markurdi, was abducted by armed men who stormed her residence in Markurdi on the 2nd of December, and whisked her away to an unknown destination.

The Benue police command spokesman, Moses Yamu confirmed the release of the news editor on Tuesday to news men. He also claimed that no ransom was paid for her release.

Yamu also affirmed that some people linked to the kidnap have been apprehended by the police and that investigation is still ongoing to gather facts and prosecute the suspects in the court of law for due punishment.

He also revealed from the investigation done so far, that the alleged kidnappers are family friends of the abducted woman.

Mrs.Tor-Agbidye is a famous news editor in Benue state. She is married to a Zonal bank manager of First City Monument Bank (FCMB) in Makurdi.
