Abia Warriors coach Emordi resigns

Coach Okey Emordi of Nigeria Professional Football League side Abia Warriors, has resigned from his role at the club.

His resignation, which was announced by the club on Monday, comes after the Umuahia side lost their game against visiting El-Kanemi Warriors in a week 9 NPFL match.

In the press release, it was mentioned that in a letter addressed to the Chairman of the club, Chief Emeka Inyama, Emordi said he had to quit following a string of poor results and wished the club well.

The club has so far amassed just 11 points from the 27 available in 9 games; winning 3, drawing 2 and losing 4, while sitting 8th on the log in the 2016/2017 NPFL season.

Abdullahi Biffo, the former Assistant, will now take charge of the Warriors, having his first assignment in an away match against Akwa United in Uyo in the weekend.
