Absence of FCT nominee worries senators as ministerial screening begins

Published

on

The Nigerian Senate on Wednesday commenced the screening of the ministerial nominees sent to it on Tuesday by President Muhammadu Buhari.

The nominees had arrived for their screening as soon as the senators commenced plenary.

However, two senators expressed worries that of the 43 nominees Buhari sent in to be screened, none came from the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Senator Philip Aduda, who represents the FCT, had raised the concern and was supported by Senator Dino Melaye from Kogi State.
