Actor Kalu Ikeagwu arrested, released over alleged theft

A report making the rounds suggests that Nollywood actor Kalu Ikeagwu was arrested by men of the Nigerian police and later released over allegations of theft and homicide.

According to eyewitnesses, efforts by his neighbour to intervene when the policemen stormed the actor’s apartment located in Ogba failed to yield any result as the thespian was whisked away for questioning by gun totting policemen.

In a report by Encomium magazine, on his return home after he was released, the actor who got married recently revealed that his personal assistant bought a stolen phone from Computer Village in Ikeja, and the thieves reportedly killed one of the victims in the robbery attack.

Kalu also informed that the crime took place in Abuja, and the phone was traced to Lagos by the security agents detailed to investigate the matter reason being why they came for him since his address and name were used during the purchase of the phone by his personal assistant.
