Nigeria’s former Minister of Aviation Femi Fani-Kayode on Wednesday said that President Muhammadu Buhari’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, was showing symptoms of “the Villa curse” for his recent statement on the president’s style of doing things.

Adesina was quoted to have said on Monday, while responding during a telephone conversation with Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily,on why the president has not been able to officially address Nigerians in a video recording, that after two years Nigerians should have been accustomed to Buhari’s style and stop complaints about his actions.

“It is a matter of personal style, there is no style that you can call ‘the’ style. The style of our president is what you have seen on display and by now two years after he came, I am sure that we should understand him.

“We should know the kind of person he is, we should know how he prefers to do things and that is how the President is. That just tells you that that is the way our President is, we elected him willingly and we have seen that this is the way he is,” Adesina had said.

In his response to Adesina’s statement, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Fani-Kayode, quoted Adesina, “Stop complaining about Buhari, nobody forced you to vote for him”- Femi Adesina.”

He then said, “Femi is now exhibiting symptoms of ‘the Villa curse.”

Fani-Kayode, who is being prosecuted for alleged corruption, remains one of the opposition members who has sustained fierce criticism against President Buhari’s administration.
