Adokwe: Obasanjo’s Coalition offers nothing new

The Chairman, Senate Committee on Information and National Orientation, Senator Suleiman Adokwe, has discountenanced former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s touted “Coalition for Nigeria Movement”, as an alternative to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Adokwe, who is a chieftain of the PDP and represents Nasarawa South Senatorial District, while reacting to Obasanjo’s letter to President Muhammadu Buhari, told New Telegraph that if it emerged as a political party, the proposed Coalition would have nothing new and meaningful to offer Nigerians.

That was as he boasted that it would be a walkover for the PDP in the 2019 presidential election, should APC field President Buhari as its flag bearer in the contest, noting that Nigerians have lost confidence in the President.
