AFCON: Sand Eagles lose to Champions Senegal

Nigeria lost 4-8 to Senegal on Sunday at the final showdown of the 2016 CAF Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations in Eko Atlantic Beach Lagos.

The win, which makes it Senegal’s fourth Beach AFCON title, is also that its fourth straight win against the Sand Eagles.

For a consolation however, the Super Sand Eagles of Nigeria, as runners-up in the African Championship, have automatically won a slot to represent the continent at the FIFA Beach Soccer World cup at the Bahamas from April, 2017.
