President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari has dispatched former vice president Atiku Abubakar to South Africa to lobby President Jacob Zuma to support the candidacy of Dr. Akinwunmi Adesina, a member of President Goodluck Jonathan’s cabinet as President of the African Development Bank

According to the statement by Malam Garba Shehu in Abuja on Saturday, Buhari asked Atiku to leverage on his close relationship with Zuma to lobby for the emergence of Adesina for the post.

I support Adesina’s candidacy as he was one of the few people in Jonathan ‘s cabinet who held his head high. Guess not being a politician helps.
