African acts shine on AFRIMA 2015 stage

The Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos, Nigeria played host to the cream of African artists who came from far and wide to witness the 2015 edition of the the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) staged in partnership with African Union Commission, AUC.
The biggest winners of the night who received the 23.9 carat gold plated trophy include: Tanzania’s Diamond Platnumz who won in two categories and South Africa’s Casper Nyovest who also clinched two awards in the Best Male category in South Africa and also the Best Artist in African hip-hop.

Former Lagos State Governor, Bola Tinubu was given an award on the night of the event. The politician was honoured as the Pillar of African Culture.
