AfroBasket 2017: D'Tigress beat Senegal, to play Cote d'IVoire in Q'finals

The national women basketball team, D’Tigress, secured their fourth consecutive win on Tuesday at the ongoing 2017 FIBA Women’s AfroBasket in Mali.

The Nigerian team destroyed their Guinean counterparts 106-33 points, after coming out winners in previous games against Egypt, Congo DR and Mozambique.

The first quarter ended 26-8 in favour of Nigeria, and result was 48-12 after the second quarter. The third quarter was also in Nigeria’s favour as it ended 82-20.

They increased their lead even more in the fourth quarter, ending the game at 106-33 – the biggest win of the tournament so far.

Nigeria are already qualified for the quarterfinals of the championship, but will play Senegal on Wednesday to complete their preliminary round matches.

Having defeated Egypt 93-61 points earlier on Tuesday, the Senegalese have so far also won four games in the tournament and are at the top of the group above Nigeria.
