After initial denial ex-Gov Shekarau set to join APC on Saturday

After his initial denial that he is not returning to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) it is almost confirmed that former governor of Kano State, Ibrahim Shekarau will be officially received into the party tomorrow (Saturday).

His media aide, Sule Ya’u Sule had disclosed on Tuesday in Kano, that his boss would soon defect to APC from the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) due to the alleged ill treatment meted to the former governor and his supporters by the PDP in the state.

But reacting the next day, Shekarau who is eyeing the presidency, denied the statement made by Sule, and said he is still consulting and would speak personally on his next line of action at the appropriate time.

This much was confirmed by the Sepcial Adviser (SA) Media to Kano State governor, Salihu Yakasai, who posted on his twitter handle: “Visit to Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau by the National Chairman of APC H.E Adams Oshiomole accompanied by H.E @GovUmarGanduje and other dignitaries. KANO TA DINKE!!! AIKI DAI BABA”.

He also stated that “Comrade Adams Oshiomole and H.E @GovUmarGanduje have just arrived at the residence of His Excellency Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau ahead of his defection to APC tomorrow. KANO TA DINKE!”
