After wowing Tanzanian parliament, OzzyBosco charges kids to take over Lagos

Weeks after receiving a standing ovation as he wowed the Tanzanian parliament when he delivered a speech as the only child present during the South African Humanitarian Summit, which had the presence of two heads of state, child prodigy, OzzyBosco has urged kids in Lagos to take over the city.

The call was made by OzzyBosco as he led members of his newly formed Fan Club OZZYBEE FAN CLUB through the streets of Lagos as he introduced a new campaign tagged ‘CHILDREN TAKE OVER LAGOS’.

The humanitarian Road Show organised by OzzyBosco Smile Foundation (OSF) which is meant to reach out to underprivileged Mothers on the streets of Lagos was held on Tuesday, May 29th, 2018 to give back to the society.

The train took off from his Ikeja office with prayers for the Nation, accompanied by Children from different Schools, members of OzzyBee Fan Club, the Media and other stakeholders in the entertainment industry.

Chief Mrs. Nonye Mojekwu, mother of the 11-year-old musician who has bagged numerous awards such as the prestigious award of “Child Advocacy ” from UNESCO/YOD, said the launch of the fan club is to bring together children between the ages of 5 to 17 on a platform where they can explore the numerous untapped benefits in education, music, dance and drama.

In an interview with RIPPLES NIGERIA, Mrs. Mojekwu who said OzzyBosco started showing signs of becoming an entertainer as early as three-months-old, added that concerted efforts are in place to ensure that her son does not miss out on growing up like every normal child saying she wouldn’t want her son to end up like Michael Jackson who lost his childhood due to the quest by his parents to make him hit stardom.

She said; “If you talk about Michael Jackson, I am sure that his parents never wanted him to grow up without experiencing childhood but at the time he was performing with his brothers who were all members of the group, The Jackson Five, he was chocked with activities.

“They thought they were doing the best for him to get him where he ended up later in life but perhaps, their mode of operation got Michael Jackson to where they wanted but it also came with some consequences which was there for everyone to see. In the case of OzzyBosco, we want him to experience growing up like every normal child; he goes to school with his sister boarding a KEKE NAPEP and most people find it odd that he is goes to school every day through that means of transportation.

“I don’t want him to see himself now as a superstar, I want him to stay grounded and we are conscious of the fact that he is a child growing in a certain environment and he is allowed to fit into that environment,” she added.
