Again, Boko Haram attack on military base leaves 3 soldiers, many terrorists dead

A fresh attack by terrorists on a military base in a community around Polo in Maiduguri, Borno State, is said to have left no less than three soldiers dead.

The attack, which was reportedly launched by members of Islamic State of West African Province (ISWAP) faction of Boko Haram terrorists, allegedly took place some minutes after 12 midnight, Thursday morning.

It was learnt that the military had engaged the terrorists in a gun duel but were over powered and sacked by the invaders until fighter planes came and cleared the insurgents.

Many of the terrorists were said to have been killed during the attack.

The Nigerian Army was yet to confirm the incident as at the time of this report.
