Again, Reps summon Buhari over high spate of insecurity in Nigeria

Nigerian House of Representatives has again summoned President Muhammadu Buhari to appear before its chamber to explain what his government is doing to address worrying insecurity situation in the country.

The House of Reps sent the invitation to President Buhari during its Thursday plenary in Abuja following members’ anonymous adoption of a motion on the security crises in parts of Katsina State.

The summon is coming after the lawmakers had on April 11, 2019, anonymously adopted a motion to “request that the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces address the House and the entire nation within 48 hours.”
