Soldiers neutralize Boko Haram terrorists on Maiduguri-Bama road

A Wednesday night attack by terrorists group, Boko Haram, on 212 Tank Battalion at Gajigana in Nganzai Local Government Area (LGA) of Borno State was resistance by troops.

The Nigerian Army disclosed this while addressing newsmen at the scene of the attack on Thursday, saying that its troops successfully repelled the fresh attack coordinated by the insurgent group.

Brig.-Gen. Bulama Biu, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 7 Division and Commander Sector 1, Operation Lafiya Dole, who addressed news men on the matter, explained that the terrorists on gun trucks attempted to infiltrate the troops’ location but met stiff resistance by the troops.

According to him, the troops with the help of the Nigeria Air Force engaged the insurgents in a fierce battle and repelled the attack.
