Aggrieved APC members storm party secretariat, demand Oshiomhole’s sacking

Some members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who are unhappy with the leadership style of the party’s national chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, on Thursday, marched to the national secretariat of the party in Abuja to call for his sacking.

The aggrieved protesters, who came under the aegis of ‘APC Patriotic Stakeholders’ Forum,’ alleged that Oshiomhole was promoting disintegration in the party, chiefly in Edo State.

They therefore urged President Muhammadu Buhari; the national leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu; and other leaders and stakeholders of the party to ensure Oshiomhole resigned his position as the APC national chairman.

One of the protesters, Iyoha Osaigbovo, who spoke on behalf of the protesters said, “I’m from Edo State and I am a member of the APC Patriotic Stakeholders Forum. We have come to save our party. The person that we gave the mantle to, he is the person attacking the constitution.

“We are begging Mr President to please save this party. We do not see any reason why Adams Oshiomhole should be allowed to destroy this party.”
