Aisha throws fresh bomb, says 2 powerful men hindering Buhari’s efforts to perform

Wife of President Muhammadu Buhari, Aisha, has said that those who will be appointed into offices in her husband’s new administration will be only card-carrying members of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

She supported her position with the claim that the constitution of the party states that appointments to offices in an APC-led government should go to card-carrying members.

A statement by her media aide, Suleiman Haruna, said she stated this at a dinner to celebrate the victory of her husband in Daura, Katsina State.

“I wish to thank the women and youth of this country for the number of votes they gave President Buhari in the 2019 election and to assure that he will continue to do his best to make Nigeria a better country,” she said.

Minister of Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika, who also spoke at the event, thanked Nigerians for voting President Buhari, and assured that development in Buhari’s new government will be encompassing.

Recall that Aisha had in 2016 frowned that many of the people Buhari appointed in his government were those he did not know and who did not work for his victory in 2015.

She had then warned that she will not support Buhari’s re-election in 2019, should the President not reshuffle his appointment to favour those that contributed to his emergence.

Aisha who had then suggested that Buhari’s government was hijacked by only a “few people”, who were behind presidential appointments, may be reminding her husband that he must be in control this time around and ensure that party members who worked for his re-election are appointed in his new government.
