BAYELSA GUBER: Group places fresh huddle before Alaibe

Once again, Timi Alaibe, a former Special Adviser to the President Goodluck Jonathan on Niger Delta Affairs has signaled his interest to become the next governor of Bayelsa State.

He submitted his Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms at Wadata House, the headquarters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abuja.

The politician who had on several occasions vied to become the number one citizen of the state submitted his form on Friday as he becomes the 21st aspirant seeking nomination for election as governor of Bayelsa State.

Moments after Alaibe submitted his nomination form, he told the leadership of the party that he is seeking to become governor of Bayelsa State with incomparable public and private sector credentials in terms of management of both human and financial resources.

Alaibe also dismissed rumours that Governor Seriake Dickson has already anointed a successor among his aides.

“It is a rumour to assume that Governor Dickson has endorsed anybody. The governor has never said so. His aides have equal rights as others to seek nomination. If the governor is going to endorse anybody, it would be me,” he said.
