Ali Baba takes on govt over failure to enact laws safeguarding road users

Ace comedian Ali Baba has called out Nigerians who have no legitimate source of income but come out on social media to flaunt wealth that some of them cannot account for.

The humour merchant made the comments on his Twitter page while replying a tweet by @stanley_tucci who in a post noted that it is crazy how we celebrate people who have questionable sources of income in Nigeria without verifying what they actually do.

@stanley_tucci further noted in his post that in saner climes, if someone earns an annual salary of $30 and buys a car worth $20 in cash, that person will be scritinsed unlike in Nigeria where no one will not bat an eyelid.

Reacting to @stanley_tucci’s comments Ali Baba wrote thus on his Twitter page; “Don’t flaunt your wealth without telling us how you made it. You are a lady below 30-years with no source of income and you have a house worth N40 million. No history of tax returns. You are a Councillor, only 4-years in office and you have a 60 bed hotel. #ShowWorking.
