Amaechi, Bakare to escort Buhari to US

Buhari govt yet to show courage to solve the Nigerian problem, Bakare asserts

A twenty-three man delegation including former governor of Rivers State, Chibuike Amaechi, outspoken preacher, Pastor Tunde Bakare and a former Minority Leader in the House of Representatives, Hon. Farouk Adamu will accompany President Muhammadu Buhari to the United States when he meets President Barack Obama in Washington, DC on July 19.

Also on the delegation are five governors including Adams Oshiomhole (Edo), Rochas Okorocha (Imo), Abiola Ajimobi (Oyo) and two others yet to be named.

They will be joined by top aides and political associates of the President; top civil servants; representatives from the Office of the National Security Adviser and representatives from economic policy and foreign affairs think tanks.

The three-day visit is expected to discuss ways the US can partner with Nigeria to defeat Boko Haram as well as explore ways of combating corruption in Nigeria. President Buhari will meet with President Obama on July 20th in the White House.

    I dont know why the governors are on the trip. Would have thought his aides,the NSA, probably senate committee leader on matters of say security, terrorism and the likes but hey, what do i know

    Quite a crowd, for a man who told us about cutting down on travelling aides. But I like the inclusion of Pastor Bakare anyway.
