Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, Friday revealed that some people, whom he described as misguided Nigerians, tried to attack him in Spain.

The minister, who is currently in Madrid, Spain for an event on climate change, said the Spanish policemen succeeded in stopping his attackers before they could hurt him.

Ameachi made this disclosure via his official Twitter account. He however did not reveal the identities of his alleged attackers.

“Some minutes ago, I was attacked by a few misguided Nigerians while on national assignment at a climate change event in Madrid, Spain. They were quickly repelled by the Spanish police before they could do any harm. I am fine. I was not hurt. Thanks for your support & prayers,” he wrote.
