Ambode endorses Buhari’s foreign trips

Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, has endorsed the much criticized foreign trips of President Muhammadu Buhari, saying they are in the interest of Nigerians.

Ambode stated this Friday when he paid a visit to the President at the State House, Abuja.

Thé Lagos State Governor lauded the President’s recent overseas trips, saying they are aimed at attracting foreign direct investments into the country.

The Governor, while speaking with State House Correspondents shortly after the visit, expressed high optimism that the President’s trips would in no short time begin to yield benefits in the interest of all Nigerians, adding that the President’s  purposeful leadership has restored the nation’s place in the comity of nations.

According to him, the President’s recent trip to China and the profitable discussions he had there will go a long way to move Nigeria forward, including Lagos.

He also said that the investment pact signed with the Chinese Government will benefit the people of Lagos, especially with the coming of the Lagos-Kano Rail Project and the Lagos Metro-rail project expected to cost about $2.5billion.

Ambode also said he decided to visit the President to thank him for his laudable plans for Nigeria and especially Lagos State.
