Ambode’s exposé: Cadets to face court martial

Published

on

The two cadets who were accosted by Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode while manhandling an artisan who they claim shattered their windscreen have been confirmed as personnel of the Nigerian Air force.

And the Air force authorities have vowed to carry out disciplinary action against the cadets identified as Peters O. Solomon and Abdullahi Fahad, whenever the Police released them.

NAF in a statement issued yesterday in Lagos signed by Air Vice Marshal Muhammed Muhammed, stated that the conduct of the cadets was contrary to the ethics of NAF.

“Our preliminary investigation revealed that the accused persons are serving Nigerian Air Force personnel.” The statement read in part.

Continuing, the statement stated that, “The leadership of the Nigerian Air Force will like to make it absolutely clear that the service does not condone this kind of behaviour.

“We clearly understand our responsibilities to the public. Therefore, as soon as the airmen are handed over to the Nigerian Air Force by the Police, we shall conduct the appropriate judicial process.”

The Cadets now face a judicial process which will come in the mode of a Court Martial where they would be tried and if found guilty, could be summarily dismissed from the force.
