Amorim’s Man Utd era begins with draw after Liverpool seal comeback win at Saints
New manager, Ruben Amorim began his at reign Manchester United with a 1-1 draw against Ipswich Town on Sunday.
Amorim, who replaced former boss Erik ten Hag, switched from Portuguese club Sporting Lisbon and resumed work after the latest international break.
Despite Marcus Rashford providing the perfect start with his 81-second opener, Ipswich drew level before halftime through Omari Hutchinson.
The result means United remain in the bottom half of the Premier League after 12 games, while Ipswich are in the relegation zone, behind Wolves on goal difference after their win at Fulham.

Earlier in the day, Liverpool came from behind to secure a 3-2 victory over Southampton.
With the win, Liverpool extended their lead at the top of the Premier League to eight points.
Mohamed Salah bagged a brace, the second goal being the winner – a penalty he converted in the 83rd minute.
If Liverpool beat struggling Manchester City next Sunday, extending that lead to 11 points, it is increasingly difficult to see who will unseat them in this campaign.
