2019: Tinubu will lose Lagos -Gov Amosun

The Governor of Ogun State, Ibikunle Amosun, has called on Aisha Alhassan, Minister of Women Affairs, to resign after openly declaring her loyalty to former vice president Atiku Abubakar over the 2019 presidential election.

Amosun stated that although the minister enjoyed right of choice, she could no longer be considered trustworthy because her loyalty could not be in two places at once.

Speaking to journalists in Abeokuta on Saturday, he said it had become obvious that “no contribution to the development” of the Muhammadu Buhari administration could be expected from her.

“Though she is entitled to her own opinion at any point in time, she should have just resigned her appointment because her loyalty cannot be in two places,” he said.

“Her falling short of resigning, takes everything away from what she said and it is clear that she will no longer be contributing to the development of the present administration.”

The governor said ill-health was the “only” hurdle that could stand between President Buhari and seeking a second term in office.

“The only thing that can prevent President Muhammadu Buhari from contesting is if his health cannot take it”, he said.

He defended the administration’s impact by saying, “If not for this present administration, only God knows where Nigeria would have been. When the government came on board, it was like jumping into the pool at the deep end”.

Atiku is frustrated and that’s why his loyalist beat drum of support for him ironically. Well, let’s not take Aisha words to heart

Na wa for this Amosun, she expressed her opinion and it’s not a crime, she spoke ahead of 2019 and never stated in any way that she’s no more loyal to Buhari and his administration. She’ll still contribute her own quota to the government, do not make a big deal out of her comment

It’s still not too late for Aisha Alhassan to resign, else Buhari should fire her if she cannot justify that her comment.

How will she justify such comment? She will definitely have no justification for the comment. It is pure nonsense, even if she’s sure that Buhari will not seek a second term, she shouldn’t have said such.
