Amuneke clinches first win as Heartland boss; Musa nets brace for Kano Pillars
Former Super Eagles star, Emmanuel Amuneke has clinched his first victory as coach of Heartland as they claimed their first win of the season on Sunday.
Heartland secured a 2-0 courtesy of Michael Ogu’s brace in a thrilling Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) tie against Niger Tornadoes at the Dan Anyiam Stadium.
Elsewhere, erstwhile Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa scored both goals to help Kano Pillars defeat Sunshine Stars 2-0 at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium.
Musa gave Pillars the lead after five minutes, and added the second five minutes after the break to hand his club their second win this season.

Elsewhere, Rivers United climbed to top spot on the table following a hard-earned 2-1 win over Akwa United.
Stephen Manyo and Ndifreke Effiong were on target for Rivers while Friday Apollos scored for Akwa, who are yet to record a win this season.
In Ilorin, Remo Stars suffered their first defeat of the season, going down 1-0 to Kwara United, with Abdulraheem Shola scoring the decisive goal im the 56th minute.
Enugu Rangers defeated Abia Warriors 1-0 in the oriental derby, while Plateau United also recorded a 1-0 victory over Ikorodu City.
