Analysts reveal Egypt likely to experience more ISIS attacks

There is a call from close watchers for Egypt to shore up its fight against terrorism especially with some analysts warning that the largest country in the Arab world may face more attacks by ISIS sooner than later.

The call is coming days after a bombing that killed 24 people at a Cairo church, with ISIS claiming responsibility for the attack hours after the bomb blast.

Analysts say the terror group is having a stronghold in the North African country which needs to change its strategy in its fight against terrorism.

However, the recent terror attack has been downplayed by Egypt’s leadership with President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi calling it a “desperate blow” by terrorists.

“They are trying to shake us,” he said shortly after he identified the assailant as a 22-year-old suicide bomber, Mahmoud Shafik. “They have been trying for three years in vain.”
