Governor Willie Obiano-led government of Anambra has started a project targeted at helping the state fish out criminal and killer herdsmen in the state.

According to the chairman of Anambra State Cattle Menace Control Committee, Igwe Peter Eze- Amama, the state has commenced enumeration of herdsmen in the state.

The monarch, who made this known to newsmen in Awka, the Anambra State capital on Wednesday, explained that the exercise would take place at Amansea, Awka South Local Government Area of the state.

Noting that the purpose of the exercise was to check Fulani herdsmen and farmers conflict in the state, he said, “The enumeration will assist the cattle menace control committee to fish out the bad eggs from the Fulani herdsmen in Anambra state.”

He further said that herdsmen and Fulani butchers would be captured in the enumeration exercise, so that they could easily be traced if there was the need to do so.
