ANAMBRA: Police order senior officer to submit self for COVID-19 test, as persistent cough causes panic

A newly posted Divisional Crime Officer (DCO) to Achala Police Division in Anambra State has been ordered to submit himself for COVID-19 test due to his persistent coughing.

The order, it was learnt, was a signal from the police command headquarters and came after junior officers and men at the police division expressed fears that the DCO might have contracted the dreaded virus.

The DCO, it was gathered was posted to the division two weeks ago but has been coughing.

Suspecting that he might have contracted the virus and that they could be at risk, his colleagues started agitating.

Their agitations got to the police command headquarters, warranting an order for the DCO to subject himself for the test.
