Anger in Enugu communy as suspected herdsmen kill pregnant woman

A pregnant woman in Nchatancha Nike, Enugu East Local Government Area of the Enugu State have been killed by suspected Fulani herdsmen on her way from farm on Thursday.

According to reports, the woman’s assailants ripped open her stomach to bring out her baby.

This is coming barely three weeks after a Catholic priest of Enugu Diocese, Reverend Fr. Paul Offu, was killed by suspected Fulani herdsmen.

Angered by the killing, members of the community blocked the Enugu-Abakaliki Expressway in protest.

The state police command confirmed the incident, as the state Commissioner of Police, Sulaiman Balarabe said the police in the state was on top of the situation.
