Northern youths kick against fresh #EndSARS protests, say it’s plot to disintegrate Nigeria

As Nigerians prepare for a planned protest against the government’s handling of the economy and insecurity, the Anglican Primate, Most Rev. Henry Ndukuba, has urged security agencies to exercise restraint and caution.

Speaking at the Church of Nigeria Anglican Chancellors, Registrars, and Legal Officers Conference in Abuja on Tuesday, Archbishop Ndukuba expressed deep concerns over the government’s failure to address critical issues affecting citizens.

The Archbishop criticized the government’s handling of the economy, citing widespread hardship, starvation, and economic difficulties faced by Nigerians.

He called for accountability and an intensified investigation into leaders who are “evil and sacred cows.”

With the planned protest looming, Archbishop Ndukuba pleaded for patience from participants and cautioned security agencies against a repeat of the End SARS horror. “We do not want a recurrence of the End SARS massacre,” he emphasized.

He said, “We call for restraint and caution for all the organizers and those who want to participate in this demonstration.

“We plead for patience on the part of the people and request the police, the military, and other enforcement agencies to be cautious in handling this demonstration to ensure that we do not have a recurrence of the EndSARS massacre.”

The Archbishop’s words come as a timely reminder of the need for peaceful coexistence and responsible governance. As tensions build ahead of the protest, all eyes will be on the government and security agencies to ensure that citizens’ rights are respected and protected.
