Another Edo council boss suspended

Twenty four hours after four local government chairmen in the state were suspended from office, Chairman of Akoko-Edo Local Government Area of Edo State, Akerejola Folunrunsho, has also been suspended for a period of two months.
He was suspended following a petition of alleged financial misappropriation sent to the House of Assembly signed by one Bello Sunday
This is coming barely 24 hours after four council chairmen were suspended by Governor Adams Oshiomhole.
Chairman of the Ad hoc Committee set up to investigate the petition, Sunday Aghedo, informed the lawmakers yesterday that the chairman was not cooperating with the committee.

Aghedo recommended that Akerejola be suspended for a period of two months to allow the committee do a thorough job.
The House adopted the recommendation and ordered Akerejola to immediately handover to the Vice Chairman.
The lawmakers also confirmed names of three commissioner-nominees sent to them by Governor Adams Oshiomhole.
