Antonio Conte wins Manager of the Year awards

At the English League Managers’ Association’s annual awards evening, Chelsea coach Antonio Conte won the top two prizes as he was named manager of the year and Premier League manager of the year.

This is following the Italian’s success this season after leading the Blues to the Premier League title in his first season in charge.

Other awards include the Championship award which was won by Brighton manager Chris Hughton after guiding his side to promotion.

And the League One and League Two awards went to Sheffield United’s Chris Wilder and Portsmouth’s Paul Cook respectively, as both topped their divisions to finish as champions and achieve promotion.

Conte previously managed Juventus and Italy before taking over at Chelsea to achieve the feat.

Chelsea, who won a record 30 Premier League matches, will be playing against Arsenal in the FA Cup final at Wembley on Saturday.
