APC congress: Fresh plot to impeach Imo Deputy Governor thickens
Following outcome of last Saturday’s All Progressive Congress (APC) ward congress in Imo state, there are indications that a fresh plot to unseat the Deputy Governor of Imo state, and Prince Eze Madumere may be in the works.
Deputy Governor Madumere had played dominant role in the APC faction which upstaged the Governor Rochas Okorocha faction last Saturday.
An impeccable Government House source, who spoke to New Telegraph correspondent on condition of anonymity, stated that after the woeful outing of last Saturday that tempers flowed and accusing fingers were pointed at Madumere by many angry loyalists of Governor Rochas Okorocha for the outcome of the congress and resolved to get their pound of flesh.
The Government House source also revealed that the select group who had also discussed the impeachment plot at the Governor’s lodge also met at a hotel at Port Harcourt road, Owerri on Tuesday.
