APC deceiving Ndigbo on 2023 presidency – Obasi

A chieftain of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief Jerry Obasi has stated that the dream of Ndigbo to produce Nigerian president in 2023 was beyond the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).

Obasi said this would amount to a grave mistake should Ndigbo trust APC, urging the region to look beyond the APC should they want to produce a Nigerian president of Igbo extraction in 2023.

In an interview with New Telegraph in Aba, Obasi, who doubles as leader of APGA’s breakaway faction, ‘Authentic APGA’ alleged that there were strong indications that the APC had no plan to allow Igbo fly its presidential flag in 2023.

He said: “Ndigbo doesn’t require a fortune teller or a diviner to know where the political train of the Buhari led APC is headed. Ndigbo of the South-East geo-political zone cannot afford to turn the missile on herself or indulge in a subterfuge of political self-deceit. “I still believe that what Ndigbo need more today is to toe the adage that believes that a bird at hand is worth million in the bush.
