Harassment of Opposition: You lied, APC tells Fayose

The All Progressives Congress, APC, has also joined the on-going drama in Abia state over who should be governor of the state.

In the confusion of who actually is the state’s governor between Okezie Ipkeazu and Uche Ogah, the APC in the state has called for a fresh election.

The APC chairman in the state, Donatus Nwankwo said this in an interview aired on Television Continental, TVC on Friday, arguing that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), should not benefit from an election in which its candidate and winner is accused of forgery.

This is coming even when PDP is accusing the APC of sponsoring Ogah, who the party alleged has made a deal to cross carpet to the opposition APC in the state after inauguration.

PDP is also alleging that there is a grand plan by the APC to make Ogah the governor of the state by all means using federal might.

The call for fresh election by the APC is the second time an opposition party in the state will be interfering in the governorship tussle believed to be a problem PDP should settle within itself.

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) was the first to interfere. Their argument is that their candidate Alex Otti, who came second in the governorship election in the state, should be declared governor, since Ogah never participated in the election.
