APC, Kashamu in secret deal over Ogun guber

Published

on

As part of its strategies for 2019 general elections in Ogun State, the All Progressives Congress (APC) may have reached a secret deal with Senator Buruji Kashamu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) towards winning the governorship of the state.

The pact, according to multiple sources within both parties, will see Kashamu working for the electoral victory of the APC gubernatorial candidate, Prince Dapo Abiodun.

Some powerful forces at the Presidency and the Federal Government are said to have been drafted into the deal, Saturday Telegraph has reliably gathered. Kashamu, who currently represents Ogun East in the National Assembly emerged the PDP governorship candidate following court orders which compelled the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to recognise him and other candidates in his faction in the state.
