APC missing as INEC publishes list of parties for Rivers elections
The names and logo of the All Progressives Congress (APC) were conspicuously missing in the list of candidates for the National Assembly election from Rivers State published on Thursday by INEC.
The INEC action is believed to be fallout of the order by Justice Kolawole Omotosho of a Federal High Court in Port Harcourt last week, that restrained INEC from publishing any candidates of the APC for the 2019 elections in Rivers State.
No member of the two factions in the state for the National Assembly elections was published, effectively shutting out the party from taking part in the forthcoming elections.

Corroborating the move, IINEC Resident Electoral Commissioner in Rivers state, Obo Efangha said the Commission had to obey the court order.
