The National Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has declared the purported expulsion of the governorship candidate in Imo State, Hope Uzodinma as null and void.

A statement by the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Lanre Issa-Onilu on Thursday said the group that carried out the expulsion was not recognised by the party as only the caretaker committee in the state could carry out such decision.

“Mr. Nlemigbo remains the only recognised Imo State Chairman and any decision which do not emanate from this recognised Caretaker Committee as regards the affairs of the APC in Imo State is null and void.”
