APC reacts to Timi Frank’s attack on Buhari

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has responded to the letter to President Muhammadu Buhari by its controversial suspended deputy national publicity secretary, Timi Frank.

The party claimed that Frank is no longer its member having been suspended since November 2016 by the party sequel to the recommendation by its disciplinary committee.

Frank had in his letter to Buhari lambasted the ruling party, describing it as a disappointment for worsening corruption and impunity, which Nigerians voted the party into power to eradicate.

Frank had also called on former President Goodluck Jonathan to forgive him for the roles he played in sacking his government for a worse government under President Buhari.

But in its response, APC national publicity secretary, Mr. Bolaji Abdullahi, said in a statement that Frank had been suspended as a member of the APC.

The party had suspended Frank following the recommendation of its disciplinary committee and subsequent ratification by its South-South zonal executive committee.

“Whatever position Timi Frank holds or canvasses is done in his personal capacity and has no bearing on the APC,” Abdullahi said.
