APC risks the ‘Jonathan-treatment’ in 2019 –Timi Frank

The ‘Jonathan-treatment’ awaits the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2019 if the ‘incompetencies of the party chairman’ are allowed to fester, so says Timi Frank, the party’s Deputy National Publicity Secretary.

Frank made the remarks on Wednesday while fielding questions from a team of journalists on Sunrise, a live television programme hosted by Channels TV.

The rage within the ranks of APC leadership took a more worrisome dimension soon after the acclaimed national leader of the party, Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu, called out John Odigie-Oyegun, the party chairman, for failing to heed and resolve protestations arising from the gubernatorial primaries in Ondo State.

It took a further hit when President Buhari and Tinubu’s aides engaged battle gears over who it was that influenced the emergence of Professor Yemi Osinbajo as Vice Presidential candidate of APC in the run up to the 2015 elections.

Speaking on Wednesday, Frank upbraided Oyegun for ‘telling lies’ and jeopardizing party cohesion and unity as a result of his poor handling of pockets of crisis within the party. He said he was particularly convinced that aggrieved party members in Ondo State would continue to work against APC’s interest unless the leadership found a smart way to ‘beg Tinubu and ask him to forgive and forget.’

He alleged that the party chairman had frustrated efforts at a proper constitution of the Board Of Trustees (BOT), insisting that if such was in place the crisis plaguing the party would not have festered. He agreed with the President’s wife, Aisha Buhari, that the party was ‘sick’, and advised the president not to fold his hands while pretending that nothing was amiss with the party.

Analysts believe that ‘Jonathan-treatment’, as referenced by Frank, is a throw-back to the crisis of leadership that engulfed the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the twilight of the Goodluck Jonathan administration and which saw to his eventual ouster in the 2015 presidential election.

all these rubbish talk. that is how Lagos planned peace rally for Tinubu after wasting big sum of money to organise the rally but later they had to truncate the plan after imprinting vest of Tinubu and spending close to one billion naira from facts. well for Timi Frank , he will soon be frankly suspending from APC because to me, I believed someone is using him to dis-organise the ruling party.

Bro, if it’s a just matter, he should speak up. Meanwhile, the guy is seriously aggrieved and can’t understand why he should be denied elevation to the full rank of National Publicity secretary. It’s about them. Shit people!

It amazes me when I see any beautiful lady talk like her sense is sleeping. What belongs to PDP? The presidential post or Nigeria? As a matter of fact, PDP cannot return until Nigerians are ready to have them in power.
