APC sweeps Kaduna local council election
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has won all 23 chairmanship seats in Saturday’s local council election in Kaduna State.
The party also the councillorship seats in the 255 wards in the state.
The chairman of the Kaduna State Independent Electoral Commission (KADSIECOM), Hajara Mohammed, disclosed this on Saturday in Kaduna.
She said: “The Electoral and Returning Officers have filed their reports and at the end of the exercise, 23 won Chairmanship and 255 won Councillorship positions, respectively.

“The 23 Returning Officers and Ward Returning Officers have declared and submitted their respective results in accordance with the law alongside the Electoral Officers.
“By the power vested on the Commission, I hereby wish to confirm the results earlier collated and returned by the Returning Officers as follows.
“APC won the 23 Chairmanship positions and the 255 Ward Councillorship positions across the State.”
