APGA removes Bianca Ojukwu, Gov Obiano as BoT members

The pair of Bianca Ojukwu and Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State have both been removed from the Board of Trustees (BoT) of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

Bianca and Obiano were both removed from the board on Tuesday alongside other party chieftains following the expiration of their four-year term as members of the BOT.

The decision to remove Bianca, Obiano and others was taken in Awka during the party’s National Executive Council (NEC) meeting.

Speaking with newsmen in Awka after the NEC meeting, National Secretary of APGA, Labaran Maku said new BOT members to replace Obiano, Ojukwu and others were to be nominated ahead of its National Convention for ratification.

Maku said; “The party has picked May 31 as for its National convention at the Prof Dora Akunyili women development centre in Awka, Anambra state.

“The Ward and Local Government Congresses of the party would hold on the 19th and 21st of May, followed by the State and Zonal congresses on the 23rd of May.”
