Apologise now or we'll sue you, 2face's lawyers write Blackface

Innocent Ujah Idiabia popularly known as 2face has finally replied his former Plantaishun Boiz band mate Augustine Ahmedu a.k.a Blackface who has in the last 12 months or thereabout constantly accused him (2face) and his manager Efe Omoregbe of song theft.

2face wrote the “Hard Life” exponent through his lawyers demanding an unreserved public apology from him with a caveat that if he fails to do so in the next seven days, then the lawyers of the “African Queen” crooner will have no option to seek legal redress in court.

The strongly worded letter written by Seun Omotoba & Co representing 2face and Efe Omoregbe among other things demanded that Blackface; “(1) Issues a general unreserved apology in writing for all defamatory statements made and/or published in the past; (2) that Blackface writes specific apologies for all defamatory statements he has accused 2face and Omoregbe of (a) song theft, (b) wishing you dead so as to take your property, (c) corruption, (d) music royalties fraud, (e) career sabotage; and that he refrains from any false or defamatory statement about the clients in question.”

Last month, Blackface himself also hinted in an interview that he may take 2face to court for song theft.

In the interview he said he was gutted that 2face and his manager connived to steal his song titled ‘Let Somebody Love You’ featuring American songstress Bridget Kelly.

“Yes, I have; and my legal team is working on that, as that’s the best way to go. When I accused them, they lied and said its ‘unfortunate’. I said they took my song and then even said maybe my account was hacked. Well, if you thought so why didn’t you pick up your phone and say “Yo black, what’s going on?”

“But, no they won’t because they wanted to steal it and it backfired, and they trying to act ‘holy’ so they make flimsy excuses. 2face and his manager planned all of that,” Blackface said in the interview.

Continuing, the dancehall act whose career seems to have nosedived said; “So, the court is our only option as they keep avoiding meetings thinking that with time it will all fade off. But, they know not what tomorrow holds and neither do I.”

Recall last year also that Blackface also pointed accusing fingers at Wizkid saying the ‘Daddy Yo’ crooner was trying to bring him down and even suggested that Wizkid’s hit song, titled ‘Ojuelegba’, sounds the same as the track 13 on one of his dancehall albums released as far back as 2010.
