Apprentice docked over alleged N3m cash theft
A 35-year-old apprentice, Nzubechukwu Mbamara, who allegedly stole his employer’s N3 million cash, was on Wednesday docked at an Igbosere Magistrates’ Court, Lagos. Mbamara, who resides at No. 18, Omo-Odofin St., Festac, Lagos, pleaded not guilty to one-count charge of stealing.
The prosecutor, ASP Eshiet Eshiet, said that Mbamara, committed the alleged offence between January and October at the Trade fair, Ojo, Lagos.
“Mbamara collected the said sum from a customer who bought goods from the shop where he was staying with his employer. “He, however, ran to Nnewi, Anambra, where the Police apprehended him,’’ Eshiet said.
